One for the Road

There comes a time when, despite all hope, a person must close, lock, latch and chain a door shut. There are only so many times a person like myself can or should tolerate ignorance.

Frankly, I stayed way longer than I should have. That's my own fault. I recognize it and own it. What is most troubling is the pervasiveness of attitudes like this, not mine, the one's I am walking away from.

Take notice. Trust your gut. Hope can get you in trouble when you begin to let it override your instincts. I fully realize that, for one such as myself and my profession, this may seem a bit contradictory.

There are other roads. The possibilities are only limited by your perspective. Shatter the glass ceiling and aim for the stars.
